Research

Using a collection of observations, reanalyses, and atmospheric model simulations, my current research focuses on large-scale climate variability and change over Antarctica, or more generally, the Southern Hemisphere extratropics, including:

  • Large-scale Antarctic sea ice variability and trends: mechanisms, detection and attribution
  • Tropical-extratropical connections: dynamical mechanisms and climate impacts
  • Modes of climate variability: impacts and future projections

    • Which encompass my broader-scale interests in:
