Research Interests:

My research focusses on the mechanisms underlying climate and ocean variability. I implement data analysis techniques and climate model experiments. Specific interests include the evolution of Southern Ocean water masses; air-sea processes in relation to the El Nino Southern Oscillation (ENSO), Indian Ocean anomalies, Southern Annular Mode, and their connection to regional rainfall variability and extremes.
